Robert E. Cunningham III

Our dad was born in Rensselear, Indiana, on February 23rd, 1937.

He grew up, living in Brook, Indiana. He graduated from Brook High School, in the Class of 1955. There he played basketball and met his future wife, Patricia Boelke.

He attended Purdue University. Married Patricia in Kentland, Indiana in the rectory of the Catholic Church, December 29th, 1956. They moved to Eustis, Florida for a time as well as Crown Point, Indiana. Then, after returning to Brook, he worked as superintendent for Danruther Construction.

In February of 1974, Robert and Patricia moved to Phoenix, Arizona, along with their family, Randall and Andrea. Robert first worked as quality control manager for a custom home builder, Blankenship Builders. Later Robert and Patricia owned carpentry and commercial construction companies. They even built retail stores across the country from Washington State to Puerto Rico.

Robert and Patricia moved back to West Lafayette to retire in 2009.

          Mother:         Dorothy Louise Cunningham ( Montgomery )

          Brother:        William D. Cunningham

          Sister:           Jane Honn ( Cunningham )

                    Daughter:     Andrea Joy Selvey Norton ( Cunningham )

          Grand Children:                 3

          Great Grand Children:       3

Robert’s interests included:

          Playing golf ( and falling asleep watching it on TV )

He and Patricia were long time season ticket holders for Arizona State University basketball.

He enjoyed making pottery.

They loved to travel around the country including trips to Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
