Billy Earl Cail

August 1, 1953 — March 24, 2023

Fowler

Billy Earl Cail, 69, of Fowler, passed away peacefully Friday, March 24, 2023, at Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

Billy was born August 1, 1953, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Earl Cail and Mary Lou (Hooper) Cail. He is survived by sons, Derick and Josh Cail, daughters, Melissa Cail and Rochelle McCoy, sister, Betty Cail, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister, Patricia Lowe, and two sons, Dustin and Billy Cail.

Billy was a divorced, but had married the love of his life, Donna Cartright, June, 1981, in Fort Myers, Florida. Billy was a hard worker all of his life. Before retirement, he worked as a concrete finisher for most of his life, nearly half of which was at Winco Construction in West Lafayette. When he wasn’t working, Billy loved to fish, hang out with some of his nearest friends, and watch his western shows. He spent most of his last moments here creating a special bond with his great-grandson, Stephen Cail. He was a character that brought a certain energy into any room he went in and you either loved or hated. Billy always wanted to be the center of attention and try to make everyone laugh. Although everyone that knew him knew he had a giant temper that would get him into all kinds of trouble throughout life, he was a great friend that would always have your back when you needed it. He will be truly missed by his family and friends as they continue his memory.  Arrangements will be held privately, as Billy wanted.

Arrangements entrusted to Gerts, Windler & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Fowler Chapel 506 E. Main St., Fowler, IN  47944. (765) 884-0110  www.kellerfh.com
