Thomas Arthur Anderson, 82, passed away on May 18, 2023, after a heartbreaking battle of dementia, at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello, IN. Tom was born January 19, 1941, in Rensselaer, IN to the late F. Leonard and Mildred O. (Hoon) Anderson.

After Tom graduated from the Brook High School, in 1959, he began his career with National Homes in Lafayette, IN in the Data Processing Department. Later he made a career move to NCR in Dayton, OH. As he moved up the ladder with NCR he would find himself transferred to the Cleveland, OH branch to work in the Data Processing Department, and then onto Honolulu, Hawaii where he became the manager of NCR’s Computer Center. After his career with NCR, his heart led him back to Brook, IN in 1975, where he always hoped to farm. He took over the family farm and retired from farming in 2005.

Tom loved living on the farm, hunting, golfing, clay pigeon and target shooting…He just loved all things outdoors. But mostly he loved his family; watching his grandkids grow up, hanging with his sons-in-laws, wife, daughters, great grandchildren, and his dog Kona.

Tom served on the South Newton School Board, Brook Library Board and The Soil and Water Conservation Board, and was a member of the Brook United Methodist Church.

Tom married his high school sweetheart, Kay Ann Fenwick, on June 3, 1960. They would soon be celebrating their 63rd Anniversary. He has two daughters, Kathi (Mike) Wilson and Kimbra (Steve) Wilson; Six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren (plus one more on the way).

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, brother, David (who died at birth), daughter, Kathi and son-in-law, Mike.

A private family service will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
