Mary E. (Wilson) Stevens

Mary E. Stevens, 72, of Lafayette and formerly of Kentland, died March 14, 2024 in Lafayette.  Mary was born May 18, 1951, the daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Compton) Wilson in Lafayette.  She married Bill Stevens September 22, 1979 and predeceased her April 27, 2011.

Mary worked as an administrative assistant her entire working career except for the years she and her husband owned and operated their own fertilizer ag and chemical business.

She is survived by her significant other Paul Tam, son-in-law Mike (Amy) Molter, grandsons Nicholas (Gabby) Molter, and Zachary (Caroline) Molter, and great-granddaughter Alice Molter, brother Don (Marsha) Wilson, and sister Helen (Butch) Traylor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and daughter-in-law Patricia Molter.

A graveside service will be held at 10am (CDT) March 22, 2024, at Memory Gardens of Rensselaer.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or American Heart Association.
