John Michael Powrozek

John Michael Powrozek, 46, of Mount Prospect, Illinois, unexpectedly passed away on March 31, 2022, due to a tragic car accident. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Rebecca (nee Mosher); daughters, Samantha and Kaitlyn; parents, John and Elizabeth (nee Scianna) Powrozek; his sister and brother-in law, Sandi (Powrozek) and Tom Pepich; and his nephew, Jake.

John was a selfless and devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. His family – both his family at home and his family at work – was his world. Most often, he could be found helping Rebecca manage their busy lives, traveling as a family to new adventures, and proudly enjoying Samantha and Katie’s many accomplishments and activities. Everything he did in his life was for them.

A visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church, located at 301 S. I-Oka, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. A funeral Mass/service will follow from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.
