Harry Joseph Falk

Harry J. Falk, age 61, of Kentland, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022. The son of the late Robert Joseph Falk and Ruth Ann (Legrand) Falk Chamberlain, Harry was born on December 12, 1960, and raised in Morocco.

Harry attended North Newton High School and graduated from Indiana University Bloomington and Valparaiso University of Law. On May 26, 1990, Harry married his soulmate in life, C. Nicole Schmidt. They spent 32 years working together and raising their daughter, Lauren Nicole Falk.

Harry was a dedicated attorney who began his career as a deputy prosecuting attorney with the late R. Steven Ryan. Harry later started his own practice with the late Ralph E. Bower.

Harry believed in living life to the fullest and traveled around the world with his wife and daughter. Harry enjoyed boating and skiing and was an avid reader his entire life.

Survivors include his loving wife, Nicole; daughter, Lauren; parents-in-law, Carl and Carol Schmidt; sister-in-law, Carla (Steve) Frantl; sister, Jane (Maurie) Light; nieces and nephews, Alexis Frantl, Jake Frantl, Michelle (Rory) Leech, Jill Light, Adam Falk, and Ashley (Zach) Cuomo; and extended family and special friends, Len and Judy Polczinski and Pam Yates.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James R. Falk. Harry took pride in sharing his birthday with his Grandpa Rudy Neuman.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kumthekar, Dr. Gondi, Meg Schwartz (APRN), and the staff at Northwestern Medicine.
