Frances Carroll (Wade) Zeider

Frances “Carroll” Zeider, 84, of Goodland, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at George Ade Nursing Home after many months of battling illness. Carroll was born January 3, 1938 to the late Norman W. and Helen B. (Snyder) Wade. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1956.

Carroll and husband, Gene, owned and operated the Goodland Red Fox for 26 years where Carroll served as bookkeeper as well as other responsibilities in the grocery store.

Carroll was pianist at the Goodland Baptist Church for many years.  She loved golfing at Hazelden Club and following her grandchildren to all of their sporting events and activities.  In her later years, Carroll enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cottage on Lake Freeman in Monticello.  Most recently Carroll was blessed with 2 great-granddaughters whom she loved spending time with.

Carroll leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Gene Zeider, son, Steve (Cathy) Zeider of Goodland, granddaughter Cassie (Brett) Morgan of Indianapolis, grandson Jordan Zeider of Zionsville, great-granddaughters, Ellie and Josie Morgan and sister Teresa Nice of Lafayette as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. Carroll was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Zeider, sister, Roberta Wade and brother, David Wade.

Visitation will be held at The Goodland Baptist Church on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 11-1 (CST) until Funeral Service at 1 pm (CST) with Pastor Robert Rawlins officiating.  Interment will follow at Goodland Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baptist Church of Goodland.
