Felisha Jean Hall

December 31, 1975 — October 2, 2022

Oxford, Indiana

Felisha Jean Hall, 46, of Oxford, Indiana, went to be with our Lord with her loving husband, Lee J Hall, loving daughter, Madison Grace Hall, and her beloved dog, Lottie, on the way home from Charleston Speedway on October 2, 2022.

Felisha was born to Joseph Buyno and Brenda Cross on December 31, 1975 in Danville, Illinois. She is one of 6 siblings. Her siblings are Joe Buyno, Jonah Buyno, James Buyno, Julie (Buyno) Ortiz, and Andrea (Buyno) Krick.

Felisha attended Chrisman-Scottland Elementary School. She graduated from Chrisman High School in 1994. She was a member of 4-H, where she showed feeder swine. Felisha was an active member of the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Georgetown, Illinois. When her mother and father divorced, Felisha stepped up and helped with her sisters and on the farm. She did all of the motherly duties including cooking meals for the family and helping the girls with baths before bed. When she was 15, she started working at McDonald’s playland. She loved demo derbies at the local fairs. This is where her love of racing started, which led her to Henry’s Speedway. She met the love of her life there. Lee J and Felisha became inseparable as she was his #1 fan for life. When Felisha got her license, she would drive into town or borrow friends' phones to call Lee. Felisha would write love letters to Lee while listening to “The Race is On” by George Jones, “Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down, and other country artists including Allison Krauss playing in the background. Lee and Felisha were married on June 26, 1999 at Benton County Speedway during intermission. Felisha cheered Lee J on to win the feature that night.

Lee and Felisha welcomed their son, Lee Joseph Hall, into the world on January 21, 2000. They welcomed their beautiful daughter, Madison Grace Hall, on May 9, 2004. Felisha was the best mother anyone could ask for. She was involved with all of Lee Joseph and Madison’s 4-H projects, including showing rabbits and goats. She was also Lee Joseph’s #1 fan, supporting him in FFA, 4-H, his racing career, going to college, and raising his own family. She loved Erin, Lee Joseph’s fiancé, as her own daughter and welcomed her from the moment of introduction. She helped both children with FFA. Felisha was the crew chief for the whole family. She helped with the race car every night and went with Lee to every race. Felisha also cared for many children in her home every day, including Harper, Jackson, and then Willow Grace.

Felisha had a passion for photography, taking many beautiful pictures of farm life, racing, old vehicles, and anything else that caught her eye like the crazy goats smiling. When her granddaughter, Willow Grace, was born, she became the best grandma-ma a child could ask for. She loved Willow beyond words.

Felisha was a sister to Julie and Andrea, but she was so much more. The three girls had a bond of friendship that was unbreakable. They were best friends and talked several times every day, sharing their lives together. Felisha did not know a stranger. She had many friends across Indiana and Illinois that she had met at race tracks. Felisha was so thoughtful that she would check in on other race car drivers after races were run to see if they needed anything from Lee or her. She was a beautiful soul who will be missed by so many family members, friends, and the racing community.

Felisha is survived by her father, Joseph James Buyno; mother, Brenda (Butch) Cross; brothers, Joe (Brittany) Buyno, Jonah (Amanda) Buyno, and James Buyno; sisters, Julie (David) Ortiz and Andrea (Jerrad) Krick; son, Lee Joseph (Erin) Hall; granddaughter, Willow Grace Hall, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great friends, and the racing community.

Felisha passed away at the same time with her husband, Lee J Hall, her daughter, Madison Grace Hall, and Lottie, her dog. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and several uncles and aunts.

Visitation for Lee J, Felisha, and Madison Hall will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 5pm (EST) until 8pm (EST) at the Fowler United Methodist Church in Fowler, Indiana. The funeral service will be held at 12pm (EST) on Saturday, October 8th at the church with interment to follow at Goodland Cemetery in Goodland, Indiana.

The family is asking anyone who wants to lead the procession to the cemetery to park and stage race cars at the Goodland Baseball Field (Emmitt Jones Field) between 1pm to 2pm (EST). The dress attire is casual and the family is requesting that everyone wear racing T-shirts, 4-H shirts, FFA shirts or jackets.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make a contribution to Benton County 4-H or The Benton County FFA chapter in honor of Madison Grace Hall.
