Edward O'Hara

Edward O'Hara, 81 of Lake Village, died December 17, 2023 at his home.  Edward was born January 15, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH. He proudly served our country as a Marine with the 3rd Tank Division and spent over two years in Vietnam during his four years in the Marine Corps before being Honorably discharged into the Marine Reserve. He received the Rifle Marksmanship Badge and the Good Conduct Medal. Not many knew him but he was truly a hero in every aspect. After his military service, he worked in newton county for more than 40 years. He served the nation with selfless pride and now we will honor him by giving him a proper and honorable funeral. Anyone wishing to attend is more than welcome to honor his service and life at a graveside service to be held at Lincoln National Cemetery, Elmwood, Ill, January 8, 2024 at 1pm (CST) with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, No flowers or other memorials please.
