Donald "Don" L. Ringle

Donald “Don” L. Ringle, 88, of Fowler, passed away December 6, 2024 at home with his family by his side. Don was born September 29, 1936 to the late Leo G. and Minnie (Windler) Ringle.

 Don married Sandra Chayer September 17, 1960. After graduating from Fowler High School, Don served in the US Army National Guard for 9 years. Most of his life, he was a farmer and later, worked at the Benton County Highway Department. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Jasper County Farm Cooperative Association for 16 years. 

 Don was known for his corny jokes, pranks and perfect yardwork (I’m sure that it bugged his neighbors to have to mow more than usual to keep up with him). He took great pride in having immaculate bean fields and would often stop by the side of the road to walk out and cut down any weed that dared to pop up.

 He leaves behind a loving family: spouse, Sandra Ringle, children, Tim (Pam) Ringle, Tammy Benner, Taina (Jim) Feeney and Stacy Ringle; grandchildren, Tiffany (Zach) Bushman, Greg Deno II, Alyssa (Evan) Landsberg, Krysta (Derek) Maxwell, Kyndl (Bryce) Burton, Dustin (Trina) Hall, Nicholas (Tana) Benner and RJ Benner, great-grandchildren, Tynlie and Weston Burton, Paizlee and Bentley Maxwell and Alexis Hall; brother, Kenneth Ringle and siter-in-law, Shelby Ringle.

 He is preceded in death by siblings, Velma (Paul) Reed, Pauline (Duane) Robinson, Vernon Ringle, Doreen (George) Cope, Herman Ringle, sister-in-law, Patricia Ringle and granddaughter, Cassandra Ringle.

 Don will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. His greatest joys were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and ability to bring smiles to everyone who met him.

 To honor Don’s request, there will be no public service. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fowler, IN or a charity of your choosing.
