Carolyn S. Ripberger, 85, of Fowler, passed away peacefully at her home on February 5th, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carolyn was born on July 20, 1940, the daughter of the late Rita (Mellady) and Delbert Yarno. She married her beloved husband, Richard Ripberger, on November 3, 1962, and they shared 53 years of marriage until his passing in 2016.

A long-standing member of Sacred Heart Church in Fowler, Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found her greatest joy in spending time with family and friends, taking walks, and reading. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, warm heart, and the way she cherished those closest to her.

She is survived by her children, Michelle (husband, Darrin) Benedict, Michael (wife, Michelle) Ripberger; grandchildren, Kyle Ripberger, Dylan Ripberger, Ryan Benedict, Bryan Ripberger; and great-grandchildren, Everly, Kaden, and Remy; as well as her sister Barbara Garing; her many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends in the Fowler community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rita and Delbert Yarno; her husband Richard Ripberger in 2016; and her brother-in-law, Charles Garing 2025.

There will be no public service.
