Anne Elaine (Smith) O'Neil

Anne Elaine O’Neil, 71, of Goodland, died February 1, 2024.  Anne was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 18, 1952 to William and Jean Richeson.  Her adoptive parents were Gene and Beverly Smith.  She graduated from Benton Central High School in 1970 before attending Lafayette Beauty Academy.

She was a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, a Girl Scout Troup Leader, an active member of her community and loved to cook and bake.  She was the owner of Anne’s Beauty Shop in Goodland for more than forty years.

She was preceded in death by both her natural and adoptive parents, her sister Penny Terry, and a half-sister Dina Rapp.  She is survived by her husband Jim O’Neil, daughter, Ashley O’Neil, sister, Sue Endres, half-sister, Laura Skinner, half-brother, Lester Akers and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. (CST) and February 7, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. (CST) at the funeral home. Funeral will be held Wednesday, February 7, at 11:00 a.m. (CST) at the funeral home with interment to follow at Goodland Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials would be greatly appreciated to George Ade Memorial Health Care Center.
