Luvicia "Vi" (Brown) Strain

Luvicia "Vi" Strain, 70, of Brook Indiana passed away on Thursday October 19, 2023. She was born on May 29, 1953 to John and Selma Brown of Swanington Indiana. She graduated from Benton Central in 1972. She met her husband Jack Strain working at Capital Products in Kentland Indiana. They married shortly after in Sheldon Illinois. She worked in factories and food service before she finished her education at Ivy Tech Community College. Where she got her teaching degree and became a pre-school teacher. She enjoyed Purdue basketball and found herself yelling at the TV, "go, go, go". She was a member of Brook United Methodist Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Vi will be missed by many friends and extended family. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jack; sons: Todd (Windy Mills) Strain; Scott (Heidi) Strain; step-son Rodney (Brenda) Strain; step-daughter; Belinda (Scott) Oliver and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Brook United Methodist Church on Saturday October 28th, 2023 at 11:00 AM (CST) with Pastor Matt Baughman officiating.
